For reference, Jobber publishes Core $49 (1 user), Connect from $139, Grow from $199 and Plus from $499 (5 users) per month, with user bundles and $29 per user beyond the bundle and Jobber Payments at 2.7% + 30¢ in person and 2.9% + 30¢ online.

What makes Jobber expensive as you grow?

Jobber's two variable costs both rise with success. Jobber sells user bundles, and each person beyond the bundle costs $29 a month, so a crew of eight on Connect pays the 5-user bundle price of $199 + 3 x $29 = $286 a month. And the 30¢ added to each card payment scales with job count: 115 payments a month is about $34.50 in fixed fees alone, or $414 a year, before the percentage.

When ranking these Jobber alternatives we looked at those two levers first: how the price changes as headcount grows, and whether each payment carries a fixed fee.

Removes both Jobber cost levers at once: 10 users are included on the $199 Medium plan with no per-seat charge, and there is no 30¢ added to each payment. Crews get signed estimates, recurring invoices, booking with deposits, a scheduler and a geofenced time clock. Full breakdown on Simple vs Jobber.

Simple is best for crews of three or more that are paying Jobber for extra seats and a fixed fee on every card payment.

Drawback: Starts at $99, so a true one-person business may pay less on Jobber Core. No pricebook or consumer financing.

Is Kickserv, ServiceM8, Markate or GorillaDesk right for you?

Each takes a different route around per-user pricing. Kickserv bundles users in blocks of 5, 10 and 20. ServiceM8 charges by job volume. GorillaDesk charges per route. Markate keeps a small $5 per-employee fee. The catch is processing: Kickserv's 3.9% card-not-present rate and ServiceM8's 3.05% + 30¢ are both above Jobber, while GorillaDesk and Markate pass you to Stripe, Square or PayPal.

If invoice payments are most of your revenue, weigh the online rate heavily. Simple's 2.79% is the lowest published card-not-present rate in this list. For the wider market, see the field service software guide.
